Heartland of America Baseball League Looking For Players – Tryout May 9th

The Heartland of America Baseball League is looking for players to complete their 2015 rosters. The next tryout will be held May 9th in Scottsdale, AZ at Glendale Community College. Registration will start at 8 am with the tryout beginning at 9 am.  The fee is $75 per player, and is being limited to 40-50 players in order to give each player a fair chance to showcase their skills. The league is looking to ideally sign 7-10 players for the season.

The tryout is open to players who are 26 and under and have played college baseball, have been recently released, or for all free agents. The players must have no college eligibility left.  Players are asked to provide their own helmets, bats, and catcher’s gear.

The camp is being ran by managers/coaches Bart Zeller, Dave Hilton, Ed Campaniello, and Danny Orr and will consist of the following:

  • 60 yard dash
  • OF throwing
  • IF taking ground balls
  • Catchers’ pop times
  • Batting Practice
  • Live hitting with pitchers in attendance (scrimmage)
