Few major league organizations still hold open tryouts, but these teams are holding tryout camps this summer. The general rules are for players 15/16 years old to 22/23 years old – make sure to click each official link for exact information.

How do I go about trying out for baseball I am a huge fan of NY Yankees my favorite player is luis cessa I use to play T-ball when I was little I wanted to play for highschool but I was to worried about parties and all that but now I have 3 sons and want a better life for them and to tell all their friends that (daddy is a mob player) I want to show everyone that I still have it I was 18 and could throw a straight ball at 85 mph and now I am 24

Look at the tryouts tab for more info. This is an older post on MLB tryouts. You’d have to go the indy ball route with no experience.

My son is 23 and plays Club for a small college near San Diego, do you know if he has any chance for a tryout(MLB or Indy)?

Wouldn’t know for sure without seeing him/his stats but plenty of guys in lower level indy ball (Pacific, Pecos, Empire) have similar experience.

Could a left handed pitcher throwing 90’s at the age of making 26 in may would be able to attend a tryout.

You’d honestly have to prove yourself in an independent league before a MLB team would ever look. Especially at 26.

Do they actually teach/coach the players in the Indy Ball or do the players just keep playing on their own without any instructions?

There are coaches in indy ball. They aren’t there specifically to develop players but they help. The players aren’t alone.

I’m 24 going on 25 soon. What is the max age for any Indy ball league acrouss the US and maybe Canada? I know some are 25 and some are 27 from some of them I’ve seen. Just curious from reading over some tryouts in the area. Thanks for reading!

No. This was just a post I put out when I was given this info. The only tryouts I update are independent baseball tryouts because that’s what the site is geared towards.
